Dakota Miller

Engineer in Training

Dakota joined RA+A in 2017 shortly after graduating with a Masters Degree in Structural Engineering and a Bachelor’s Degree in Architectural Engineering, both through the University of Colorado at Boulder. During school Dakota played a significant role in the Engineers Without Borders team to build rainwater catchment systems in Rwanda.

Working part time with an engineering firm in Boulder CO whilst getting his masters, Dakota now has years of experience designing structures for various residential and commercial projects. He is currently in pursuit of a professional engineering license.

Dakota was raised in Pagosa Springs and when he is not working diligently, he enjoys crossfit, hiking and camping around southwest Colorado and the occasional rec league sport. He makes time to visit nearby family in Pagosa Springs – and enjoys it immensely – and has really leaned into the role of “spectator” for both sporting and music events.
