Dolores County Senior Center (Pioneer Center)

The Dolores County Senior Center, known as the Pioneer Center, is a community hub in Dove Creek designed to support daily services and programs for seniors across the region. The building brings together a commercial kitchen and dining space with activity rooms, exercise areas, a library, classrooms, and administrative offices, creating a single, accessible location for meals, programming, and social connection. In a rural community where resources are spread out, the center plays a critical role, providing a consistent place for gathering, support, and engagement. The design emphasizes clarity, durability, and a welcoming scale, resulting in a facility that feels both practical and essential to the community it serves.
